Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has announced new rules restricting delivery bikes from using high-speed lanes on major roads, starting November 1, 2025.
Delivery riders will be prohibited from using the two leftmost lanes on roads with five lanes or more, and the leftmost lane on roads with three or four lanes.

Roads with two lanes or fewer will have no lane restrictions for delivery bikes.
The initiative aims to curb accidents, improve traffic discipline, and enhance the safety of both riders and other road users.
An official at Dubai Police, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, told Gulf News that riders who violate the rules will be fined Dh500 for the first offence and Dh700 for the second, with their permits suspended upon a third violation.
