Efforts to decentralise kidney dialysis services from the overcrowded Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) have gained momentum as the Northern Municipal Council approved, in principle, a proposal to introduce the service at a local health facility.
The proposal, submitted by councillor Mohammed Al Dossary, aims to establish dialysis services at the Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Health Centre in Barbar, located off the Budaiya Highway .
