Alba, one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters, has expanded its partnership with Bahrain-based Array Innovation to launch a new high-tech project focussed on applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to its pot lines.
The initiative, unveiled at the Gateway Gulf 2025 investment forum, aims to deliver cutting-edge AI-powered decision support tools to Alba’s operators, optimising critical reactions in the aluminium reduction process .
