Bahrain’s Gor Minasyan made a clean sweep of the gold medals this evening in the men’s over-110kg category in weightlifting at the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Minasyan captured his event’s three titles in snatch, clean and jerk, and total.
His sensational haul brought the kingdom’s medal tally in the multi-sport event to nine, headlined by five gold – all claimed in weightlifting – and also including two silver and two bronze medals.
