BADMINTON – Team Acers emerged as winners of The Indian Club Team Championship. More than 80 players took part in the event, which featured both men and women.
Play was held in two categories, including men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Togi Mathew captained Team Acers, who claimed the title after beating Team IC Wolfs, captained by NS Jain, in the final 3-2.
Individual trophies were given to the winners and runners-up along with rolling trophies for both teams.
The Indian Club president Joseph Joy, general secretary Anil Kumar R, badminton secretary Binu Pappachen, tournament director Arunachalam, and guests Nahaz Ommer and Satheesh Mohan were present for the prize distribution ceremony. The tournament was sponsored by Napco National and Al Aujan.
