Toyota Bahrain, a division of Ebrahim K Kanoo (EKK), hosted a special fan experience on the sidelines of the recent World Endurance Championship Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, guaranteeing treasured memories that will last a lifetime.
In addition to a chance at winning cash prizes, customers got an up-close look at some of their favourite Toyota vehicles, and met members of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) team, which concluded the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season on a high note with a spectacular one-two finish at the event.
“This result reflects the dedication and competitive spirit that define Toyota’s journey,” EKK director Isa Mohammed Kanoo said.
“The team’s consistency, innovation and resilience throughout the season demonstrate what can be achieved when engineering excellence meets a passion for performance.
“We look forward to the Toyota team achieving an even stronger result in 2026.”
TGR racers Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries delivered a strong performance in the No 7 Toyota GR010 Hypercar, converting pole position into victory and securing the team’s ninth consecutive win at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Their teammates Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa in the No 8 Toyota GR010 Hypercar completed the perfect result in second place, finishing just 19.378 seconds behind the No 7 crew.
On the sidelines of the event, the Toyota Fanzone added excitement to the experience, giving spectators a dedicated space to celebrate the spirit of motorsport.
The area featured interactive activities such as a VR experience and competitions with cash prizes, as well as themed displays, as visitors enjoyed a lively atmosphere with music, games and branded experiences that highlighted Toyota’s passion for racing.
The experience extended to the paddock lounge for invited fans, from where they could watch as the Toyota Gazoo Racing team powered to the sensational one-two in the race.
The victory marks a strong end to a challenging season and builds momentum heading into 2026.
TGR will return next year with an updated Toyota GR010 Hypercar and an unchanged driver line-up.
Stars Conway, Kobayashi and de Vries will race together for the third consecutive season, while Buemi, Hartley and Hirakawa compete alongside each other for a fifth year.
Over the years, Toyota has been participating in many different forms of motorsport, including Formula One, World Rally Championship (WRC), WEC, and the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race.
Toyota’s participation in these events was overseen by separate entities within the company until April 2015, when Toyota established TGR, to consolidate all of its motorsport activities under one in-house brand.
Representing Toyota’s belief that ‘the roads build the people, and the people build the cars,’ TGR highlights the role of motorsports as a fundamental pillar of Toyota’s commitment to ‘making ever-better cars ’.
Harnessing years of experience gained under the extreme conditions of various motorsports events, TGR aims to forge new technologies and solutions that bring the freedom, adventure and joy of driving to everyone.
