A legislative standoff over a bill that would expand the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission’s (LLOC) oversight of government contracts is now set to be settled in a joint National Assembly session, after the Shura Council once again voted to reject the amendment.Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister and acting Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Minister Nawaf Al Maawda attended the Shura session, during which the legislative and legal affairs committee delivered its final report recommending that the upper chamber uphold its earlier refusal to support the bill .
