His Majesty King Hamad highlighted that Bahrain places ‘special attention and the highest priority on supporting and developing the agricultural and livestock sector, as a fundamental pillar of comprehensive development and national food security’.
The King made his remarks during the special opening ceremony of the Bahrain International Animal and Agriculture Production Show – Mara’ee 2025, held last night at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in Zallaq, ahead of the exhibition’s public opening today.
His Majesty praised the government programmes led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that the initiatives help ‘strengthen agricultural, animal and marine development, enhance food security and advance Bahrain’s food production capabilities’.
The King also expressed his appreciation to the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry for its ‘dedicated efforts and outstanding organisation’ of this year’s international event.
He commended the ministry’s national initiatives aimed at innovation, development and the use of modern technology to boost production.
His Majesty also underscored the importance of continuously introducing new ideas and advanced solutions that support national food security strategies.
The King further praised the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force for its distinguished contribution to the ceremony, saying its participation ‘consistently enhances the success of this major national event’.
