KABADDI – The excitement is building as Bahrain prepares to host the 3rd GCC Kabaddi Cup, a rapidly growing regional championship that continues to raise the bar for the sport across the Gulf.
This year’s edition promises higher skill levels, tighter competition, and a more advanced technical structure than ever before.
The tournament will take place on December 16 at the prestigious Gulf Air Club, drawing teams from across the GCC in a display of athletic power, strategy, and sportsmanship.
One of the key figures behind the technical side of the event is Jagdeep Pal Singh, serving as the tournament technical observer and developer.
According to Singh, the evolution of Kabaddi in the Gulf has been remarkable.
“Over the past three editions, we’ve seen kabaddi transform from a developing sport into a structured and highly competitive arena. The teams this year are faster, better prepared, and more tactically disciplined than ever before,” he said.
Singh also highlighted the new technical enhancements being implemented in the tournament.
“This year we introduced advanced review systems and upgraded medical readiness. These innovations ensure fairness, player safety, and an elevated match experience for everyone involved.”
