Shaikh Nasser empahsised the importance of continuing to support Bahraini youth in various domains to make the kingdom a platform for creativity and excellence.
The meeting also addressed the media strategy, where Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi gave a detailed presentation on the youth media strategy for 2025-2030, which aims to empower Bahraini youth to discover and develop their media talents and showcase them with contemporary creativity and a national message.
He explained that the strategy focuses on developing media discourse and building the professional capacities of young people, enhancing their media presence locally and internationally, organising events and festivals, and supporting media entrepreneurship, to contribute to the national economy and create sustainable job opportunities.
The SCYS supported the strategy, and Shaikh Nasser directed the Information Ministry to implement it and monitor performance indicators in co-ordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the desired results are achieved.
As part of the council’s efforts to promote the participation of Bahraini youth in various domains, the meeting reviewed the latest developments regarding the formation of youth empowerment committees in the public and private sectors. Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi presented the authorities that established youth committees, including the ministries of Works, Health and Information, the Civil Service Bureau, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Bahrain Development Bank, Bapco Energies, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, and the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology.
The youth minister emphasised that youth empowerment committees provide a platform for engaging Bahraini youth in developing the work environment and promoting institutional innovation, reflecting the vision of the SCYS in empowering the new generation and giving them the opportunity to present innovative ideas and initiatives.
She added that these committees improve the quality of services and enhance institutional performance, in line with national objectives to build young competencies capable of creativity and achieving a positive impact on society.
