HORSERACING – Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented his trophy to BBK chairman Tariq Al Saffar, during the 10th race of the horse racing season organised by Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) on Thursday and Friday.
The event also highlighted the awarding of the distinguished Manama Cup, with Al Saffar presenting the trophy to the winning owner.
Sponsored by BBK, the Manama Cup underscores the bank’s unwavering commitment to supporting national sporting events and preserving Bahrain’s rich equestrian heritage.
Al Saffar said, “BBK places great emphasis on supporting the sports sector, particularly equestrian sports. Sponsoring the Manama Cup reflects this commitment, which extends to BBK’s sponsorship of the Bahrain Turf Series Cup, as well as the Bahrain Mile, one of the most prominent races on the kingdom’s horse racing calendar, held during the prestigious Crown Prince’s Cup Raceday.”
“BBK’s continued support demonstrates its commitment to advancing equestrian sports and reinforcing their position as an integral part of Bahrain’s sporting and national heritage,” he added.
He also extended his gratitude to REHC and congratulated all participants and winners for their outstanding competitive performances.
