I read with great concern that MPs are considering raising taxes. Taxes will not make the foreign debt go away. The interest of this debt is frightening and must be eliminated.
Why not consolidate all the government offices in one location? This will increase efficiency and reduce government expenses, and facilitate citizen services. Don’t believe ‘online’ is the solution.
So before increasing the tax burden, consider reducing foreign debt and consolidating all the government entities into a Mall of Bahrain Government Services!
With all respect, international standards of taxes is not to be copied, as the West is destroying itself with mindlessly printing US dollars and Euros.
I wish Bahrain a bright future in this harsh world.
