A 39-year-old Saudi man has died after his jet ski overturned at Bubalu Beach in West Java, Indonesia.
The man was reportedly riding the watercraft with an Indonesian woman when a large wave struck the jet ski, causing it to flip and critically injuring both riders. Nearby beachgoers rushed into the water to rescue the pair and bring them to shore.
Despite medical efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries. The woman remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
The Saudi Embassy in Jakarta confirmed the incident and stated that all necessary arrangements are being made for the repatriation of the citizen’s body to the kingdom.
