They can’t pay the LMRA increase and they’ll pay corporate tax?
@omaralmohammed
As long as they don’t pass the cost onto the consumers.

Expat returns home after a long financial struggle
Never run a business without a strong cash buffer, especially in another country. Plan for failure before success.

Many employers continue to keep employees’ passports in their custody, even though this practice is illegal. It continues due to weak enforcement and the absence of an effective solution. When disputes arise, some employers and landlords misuse their position instead of following proper legal procedures. Passports are personal identity documents and remain the property of the Government of India. No private party has the right to retain a passport under any circumstances. Yet, this practice continues openly and without fear of consequences.
This raises serious questions about the role of our embassy. The embassy should know who is working where, under whom, and whether the individual is safe. Protecting Indian citizens abroad is a primary responsibility of the embassy. Why are private employers and landlords still allowed to keep passports without accountability?
In some cases, when employees resign and ask for their passports, employers claim they do not have them. The employee then approaches the embassy, and the matter sometimes remains unresolved for long periods, leaving the employee vulnerable and without protection. People suffer such things from day one – not being paid salary and passports being withheld.

The moral of the story is simple and powerful: he did not prepare for life. This is the same mistake many people make – again and again, even though countless examples already exist. When life is not planned before starting any major step, suffering becomes almost inevitable.
In this case, he married before achieving stability in his own life, bringing his wife into an insecure situation. A child was born, yet he lacked the financial means even to obtain a birth certificate. If this situation continued, how would the child’s schooling be managed? What about food, clothing, medical expenses, stationery, basic shopping, or even simple entertainment? How will money be sent to elderly parents who depend on him, while also taking care of his own family and saving for the future?
We came to the Gulf from difficult circumstances with the hope of earning money and building a successful life for ourselves and our dependants. But after arriving here, saying that there is no money even to survive is not fair. The real problem is not the lack of income – it is the lack of knowledge about how to use and save money.
This is the core reason behind financial failure. Poor financial management leads directly to suffering, stress and eventually disaster.
Therefore, think 10 times before making major life decisions. Discuss openly with close friends and relatives, seek guidance, analyse your situation carefully – even consult tools like ChatGPT– and then proceed wisely. Planning today prevents pain tomorrow.

Indian woman battles crippling fear of flying to travel back home after two decades
Finally someone said that and it’s true, I didn’t fly for almost 2.5 years because of this. I always take connecting flights.
@yogender_sundli
Same here, I was a child when 1996 Saudi tragedy happened. I am very afraid of air travel. When I travel, during the whole journey I don’t talk to anyone.
@sarita.sangwan
EMDR therapy helps immensely with fear of flying.
