Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh on Saturday was once again the place to be as the capital hosted the annual Joy Awards show gathering Arab and international talents.
The 2026 edition of the Joy Awards brought together many of the world’s A-listers on its Lavender Carpet.
The star-studded event was opened by American singer Katy Perry, who performed some of her hit songs. Her performance ended with a stunning fireworks show.
Perry arrived at the Lavender Carpet wearing a dress by Saudi designer Waad Aloqaili in a tribute to local Saudi talent.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actor Oscar Isaac, Alexander Ludwig, Lee Byung-hun, Alfie Allen, Travis Fimmel were among the attendees.
British actress Millie Bobby Brown, best known for her role in Stranger Things, won the Personality of the year Award.
Legendary actor Forest Whitaker was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Honour.
The event was also attended by superstars such as Mohammed Abdo, Robbie Williams, Nancy Ajram and Elissa.
Joy Awards, held every year as part of Riyadh Season and billed as the region's 'People Choice Awards', puts the spotlight on music stars, cinema icons, accomplished athletes, and other inspiring figures who are making a positive impact on people's lives. The winners are chosen by the people and fans.
