On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa will lead a high-level delegation from Bahrain to Davos economic forum.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 will be held in the Swiss resort town from today until Friday.
Bahrain’s high-level delegation comprises Finance and National Economy Minister and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) board of directors chairman Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Sustainable Development Minister and Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) chief executive officer Noor Al Khulaif, Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro and Mumtalakat chief executive officer Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Also in the delegation are Prime Minister’s Office director general Hamad Al Mahmeed, Prime Minister’s Office Under-Secretary for Research and Projects Yusuf Buhejji, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority chief executive officer Sara Buheji, adviser to the EBD board Iain Lindsay, Gulf Air Group chairman Khalid Taqi and officials from the public and private sectors.
The forum, under the theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue’, will bring together a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders to address global economic challenges in response to geopolitical, economic and societal shifts.
The forum is expected to convene with more than 3,000 global leaders from 130 countries, representing governments, international organisations, leading multinational companies, emerging innovators, academia and civil society.
During the forum, Bahrain’s delegation will participate in a series of meetings, roundtable discussions and high-level sessions with global decision-makers, investors and industry leaders.
These engagements will spotlight the kingdom’s strategic priorities, including sustainable economic growth and diversification, talent development, fostering innovation and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a competitive and forward-looking hub for investment.
