An Indian expat in Abu Dhabi has split his AED 25 million Big Ticket prize with 25 friends, despite having purchased the ticket alone.
Sarvanan Venkatachalam, 44, won the life-changing prize in November but decided he wanted to share his good fortune with others.
“Actually, I bought the winning ticket alone, but I will share it with my 25 friends,” he told Gulf News.
Venkatachalam said he has saved a portion of his winnings for his child’s education and long-term goals, while distributing the rest amongst his friends.
