Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources is implementing projects to construct two fishing harbours in Hasik and the Hadbeen area in the Wilayat of Sadah, Dhofar Governorate, at a total cost of RO 5.8 million.
These projects are part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop fishing ports across the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. This initiative aims to create an attractive investment environment and maximise the utilisation of fish resources, while providing a suite of public and private services within the ports to increase the fisheries sector's contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
