SHOWJUMPING – Hussain Dadalla won the advanced class title riding his horse Jacadilou Gp Du Bois Madame in the Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa International Showjumping Championship, held at the Military Sports Union Field in Al Raffa.
The one-star event took place under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid’s sons, Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Faisal and Shaikh Abdulla presented the winners of the advanced class with their awards.
Dadalla, competing with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) team, won his category, which featured fences over 140cm, in 51.12 seconds with no faults.
Haitham Al Bastaki was the runner-up with four faults, followed by Sven Joseph Hadley in third with eight faults.
In the intermediate class, an accumulator with joker with fences at 130cm, Hussain Dadalla triumphed again on Elite with 44 points in 39.51 seconds.
Nasser Mohammed from the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) placed second, followed by Hadley in third.
In the juniors category – a two-phase competition with 120cm fences – Mayoof Alromaihi from the MOI team took first place on Cash Du Talus in 18.69 seconds.
Dadalla was again on the podium in second place, while Bader Janahi claimed third.
