Security measures and Civil Defence matters in Bahrain were discussed with the media last night.
Captain Abdulla Waheed Al Mannai from the Interior Ministry joined the online discussion on the latest developments.
The Civil Defence Council announced a ban on gatherings in streets and public squares to ensure safety and strengthen civil protection measures.
Avoiding large gatherings in open areas is cited as contributing to the safety of citizens and residents.
Normal movement is permitted for the following activities, provided guidelines are adhered to:
- Visiting places of worship.
- Visiting sports clubs.
- Visiting shopping malls, markets and restaurants.
The Cybercrime Department has taken legal measures and referred several individuals to the Public Prosecution for:
- Filming and publishing videos related to the aftermath of aggression.
- Filming videos from military sites.
- Publishing and circulating false news on social media accounts.
These actions are considered crimes because they could incite public fear and panic and harm security and public order.
Citizens and residents are also urged to exercise caution and national responsibility.
Regarding missile or drone fragments:
- Do not approach or touch them (may contain hazardous materials).
- Filming or sharing images of fragments on social media is prohibited.
- Report findings immediately via the emergency hotline 999.
The following general instructions were also issued for the public:
- Remain calm and act responsibly during emergencies.
- Stay away from incident sites to allow emergency teams to work.
- Adhere to instructions issued by the competent authorities.
- Refrain from photographing military sites or incident locations.
- Avoid spreading rumours.
- Obtain information only from official sources.
