A citizen whose home in Juffair was damaged by the Iranian strikes praised the swift response of the authorities, highlighting their rapid assessment of the situation and their efforts to ensure the safety and security of civilians.
Businessman and historian Yousuf Salahuddin’s home was among the four properties affected by Saturday night’s attacks.
The impact of the strikes shattered his windows and caused significant material damage to the residence.
“All of us have been affected by the incident, we are just civilians at the end of the day,” said Mr Salahuddin.
“It was a difficult moment for us, but the response from the authorities has been reassuring. They acted very quickly, which was very important to get the situation under control.
“Authorities have shown great concern for our safety and well-being and made sure we were all safe and secure first and foremost.
“I also value the conversation I had with Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and it means a lot to us that he came to check the scene and our houses.
“Their swift action fills me with confidence in our officers in the kingdom, and they have shown time and again that they care about us and our safety.”
Gen Shaikh Rashid inspected the damaged homes and closely followed up on the health and safety of the residents in the affected properties and surrounding areas.
He conveyed to them the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reaffirming their deep concern for the security and wellbeing of all citizens.
Gen Shaikh Rashid reiterated Bahrain’s steadfast approach rooted in peace, and its commitment to supporting all efforts that reinforce security, stability, and the values of tolerance and coexistence that characterise the Bahraini people.
He also expressed his gratitude towards police personnel in all their locations for performing their duty with professionalism and expertise under these exceptional circumstances. The minister praised the efforts of Civil Defence officers, non-commissioned officers, the National Ambulance, and traffic police in dealing with the repercussions of the attacks and enhancing civil protection through their dedication, professionalism and courage.
