Iftar kits have been distributed at traffic signals near all 10 branches of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, as part of the organisation’s long-standing tradition of community support during Ramadan.
The initiative, titled ‘Al Hilal Cares – A Helping Hand for the Needy’, saw a team, led by chief executive officer Dr Sharath Chandran, hand out the kits shortly before iftar so that people travelling or working at that time could break their fast.
Also present were vice president Asif Mohammed, Al Hilal’s Muharraq branch head Franco Francis and finance manager Sahal Jamaludheen, along with other team members.
“During Covid-19, we started a campaign called Al Hilal Cares as a way to support our community,” Dr Chandran said in a statement.
“Since then, every year during Ramadan, our teams visit some of the busiest streets across Bahrain to distribute iftar kits, ensuring that those who are on the road or working can break their fast on time.
“It is our small way of sharing the spirit of Ramadan and giving back to the community.”
Al Hilal Healthcare Group extends its warmest wishes for a healthy and prosperous Ramadan to everyone in Bahrain, the company added.
