National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Chairman Ali Al Derazi visited the injured residents from the Sitra area following the hostile Iranian attacks that targeted residential neighbourhoods and civilian facilities.
The chairman was briefed on the health status of the injured and the level of medical care provided. He commended the significant efforts of the medical and nursing staff in providing the necessary healthcare.
He also affirmed the solidarity of the NIHR with the injured and their families, highlighting its commitment to monitoring their humanitarian and health conditions.
Mr Al Derazi stressed the importance of protecting civilians and civilian objects in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and relevant international conventions, emphasising that residential areas must not be targeted due to the serious humanitarian consequences.
