Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at 6am in mosques across Bahrain.
The traditional open-air Eid prayer grounds will not be used this year due to current circumstances.
The announcement was made by the Sunni Endowments General Directorate, which confirmed that prayers will instead take place in main mosques and those temporarily designated as mosques during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Due to the current circumstances, it has been decided that Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at 6am in all main mosques, in addition to mosques that were temporarily converted into congregational mosques during Ramadan,” the directorate said in a statement.
Eid prayers in Bahrain are traditionally held in large open prayer grounds across the country to accommodate large congregations.
However, worshippers this year have been advised to perform the prayer at nearby mosques instead.
Officials have urged worshippers to arrive early and follow any guidance issued by mosque authorities to ensure prayers are conducted smoothly.
