Bahrain today celebrates the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
The kingdom’s leadership last night exchanged greetings with leaders of the GCC, Arab, Islamic and friendly countries.
His Majesty King Hamad held a telephone call with Qatari Amir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The King expressed Bahrain’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the brutal Iranian attack that targeted Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar.
He affirmed the solidarity of the kingdom, standing alongside Qatar and its people, against anything that affects its security and stability.
The two leaders exchanged congratulations and good wishes on Eid Al Fitr. His Majesty also extended greetings to the ruling family and the people of Qatar, wishing both countries and peoples, and the Arab and Islamic nations, prosperity and blessings.
The King and the Qatari Amir also reviewed the close ties between the two countries and their ongoing development and growth.
They discussed current regional developments and means to enhance security and stability in the region.
His Majesty received a phone call from Jordan’s King Abdullah and exchanged congratulations and good wishes marking the occasion.

His Majesty also received telephone calls from Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, exchanging Eid greetings, and wishing the two countries as well as their people further progress and prosperity.
The King received a written message from Al Azhar Grand Imam and Muslim Council of Elders chairman Dr Ahmed Al Tayyeb.
The Grand Imam condemned the continued attacks targeting Bahrain, noting their impact on civilians and infrastructure.
He also extended Eid Al Fitr greetings, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
His Majesty received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on Eid Al Fitr.
HRH Prince Salman wished the King abundant health and happiness and Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity under his leadership, and the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
The King sent a cable of thanks to HRH Prince Salman, congratulating him on this occasion and wishing him abundant health and happiness.
His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received cables of congratulations from senior members of the Royal Family, Parliament Speaker, Shura Council Chairman, ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, MPs, Shura council members, municipal council members, governors, diplomats, Bahrain’s ambassadors abroad, heads of diplomatic missions, heads of sport associations and clubs and citizens.
