Supreme Council of Health (SCH) chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met graduates of national health programmes working across various government health sectors for 2025-2026 via videoconference, on World Health Day, held under the theme ‘Together for health. Stand with science’.
Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed was also present.
Lt Gen Dr Shaikh Mohammed affirmed that investing in qualified national cadres represents a strategic pillar for the future of the health sector, noting that the outcomes of training and qualification programmes constitute a key foundation for enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare system.
The SCH chairman highlighted the academic and professional achievements of the graduates and underscored the importance of continued support for scientific research and innovation to enhance competitiveness and improve the quality of health services.
Dr Al Sayyed commended the dedication and contributions of national talent, noting their role in enhancing the readiness of the health sector and strengthening its capacity to address various challenges.
She affirmed the ministry’s continued commitment to adopting initiatives that support continuous education and scientific research, contributing to the development and improvement of healthcare services in line with best practices.
The meeting also reviewed the graduates’ academic and professional experiences and their success stories throughout their training journey, reflecting the high level of excellence achieved by national cadres across various health specialisations.
It also highlighted Bahrain’s established approach to supporting national talent and creating an environment that promotes innovation, contributing to achieving sustainable development goals and reinforcing the kingdom’s position as an advanced healthcare hub at the regional and international levels.
