A visitor to Mount Emei in China’s Sichuan province has been blacklisted after a video captured him pushing a Tibetan macaque off a railing.
The man, who was filmed laughing as he fled the scene, was identified by authorities and admitted to the wrongdoing during an investigation. Tibetan macaques are under second-class state protection in China, and visitors are strictly prohibited from provoking or attacking them.
He is now barred from entering the scenic area until 2029.
