BOWLING – RIFFA, Bahrain Club, and Um Al Hassam all claimed big wins in the second round of this season’s Bahrain Bowling League, organised by the Bahrain Bowling Federation at Funland Centre’s lanes.
Riffa secured a resounding 8-0 victory over Sanad, dominating all three games and racking up a total of 2,659 pins. Their triumph solidified their position atop the standings with a perfect 16 points.
Abdulaziz Alshaikh was their standout performer, posting the highest individual total of 706 pins, while Jan Meden Villanueva also impressed with a 698 series.
Bahrain Club, meanwhile, outclassed Al Ettifaq 8-0. They had a total of 2,477 pins, led by Emerson Gotencio’s 667 score.
Bahrain Club also raised their points tally to 16, maintaining a strong second place on the table, trailing only Riffa who have a superior pinfalls total from two matches to date.
Um Al Hassam secured a well-deserved 8-0 victory over Isa Town, taking down 2,209 pins in their head-to-head.
Issa Khalid was their top scorer with a 645 series.
Elsewhere in round two, Busaiteen defeated Al Hala 6-2 in a tightly contested affair that was decided by just 46 pins.
The league’s third round of action will be held on Sunday with a highly anticipated battle between Riffa and Um Al Hassam, while Bahrain Club will face Busaiteen, Sanad will meet Al Ettifaq, and Isa Town will face Hala.
