Bahrain’s senior men’s handball and volleyball national teams have secured a golden double this evening at the fourth GCC Games in Doha, Qatar.
The kingdom’s handball squad captured their crown after defeating hosts Qatar 24-19 in the penultimate fixture of their campaign at the Qatari capital.
The Bahraini spikers followed suit by striking gold in the concluding fixture of their tournament, where they powered to a resounding 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-23) sweep, also against the hosts.
The two gold medals headline an impressive haul from the kingdom's delegation today at this year's GCC Games.
