Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments, announced that Eid Al Adha prayers will be held at official prayer grounds and mosques at 5:05 am on Wednesday, May 27.
Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri confirmed the readiness of Eid prayer grounds across all governorates of the Kingdom to receive worshippers. He said the prayer grounds committee formed for this purpose had designated all main prayer grounds where Eid prayers will be held, in addition to prayer venues allocated for expatriate communities at several schools across the Kingdom.
The locations were distributed following a meeting held by the prayer grounds committee and are as follows:
1. Eid prayer ground in East Hidd (Al Julaiah neighbourhood). Noor Prayer Ground Mosque (Al Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Muslim Mosque and Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque will be closed.
2. Eid prayer ground in Hidd City (Block 111). Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park Mosque will be closed.
3. Eid prayer ground in Galali. Maryam Ibrahim Loori Mosque and Lulwa bint Ahmed Al Jowder Mosque will be closed.
4. Eid prayer ground in Arad (Road 47, Block 243, near Al Zimma Power Station). Abdulrahman Al Zayani Mosque will be closed.
5. Eid prayer ground complex in Diyar Al Muharraq at the southern parking area of Al Baraha Souq. Al Baraha Souq Mosque will be closed.
6. Eid prayer ground in Muharraq near Muharraq Cemetery. Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al Ghawi Mosque, Dhabyah bint Rashid Mosque in Busaiteen (Areef), and Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Mahmeed Mosque in Doha Arad will be closed.
7. Eid prayer ground in Busaiteen (Al Sayah Coast). Mothers of the Believers Mosque, near Muharraq Municipality, will be closed.
8. Eid prayer ground in Salmaniya. No surrounding mosques will be closed.
9. Eid prayer ground in North Riffa, near Al Istiqlal Walkway. Maryam Mosque and Abu Al Fateh Mosque will be closed.
10. Eid prayer ground in East Riffa (Riffa Fort). Al Qal’a Mosque, Shaikha Lulwa bint Fares Al Khalifa Mosque, Shaikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Souq Mosque), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque in East Riffa will be closed.
11. Eid prayer ground in Hajiyat on Road 2930, Block 929. Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque will be closed.
12. Eid prayer ground in Askar (Heritage Village). No surrounding mosques will be closed.
13. Eid prayer ground in Zallaq at Zallaq Youth Empowerment Centre square. No surrounding mosques will be closed.
14. Eid prayer ground in Hamad Town, Roundabout 17, at the square opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Centre. Zainal Mosque, Musaab bin Umair Mosque and Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque will be closed.
15. Eid prayer ground at Hamad Town Youth Centre, Roundabout 2, in Hamad Town. Hamad Town Mosque and Ramla bint Abi Sufyan Mosque will be closed.
16. Eid prayer ground in Budaiya (Eid prayer ground). Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Mousa Mosque will be closed.
17. Eid prayer ground in Salman City at the northern square of Salman City Coast, Road 8101, Block 581. Mohammed Abdullah Bahlool and his wife Fatima Al Khajah Mosque will be closed.
18. Eid prayer ground in New Ramli Housing. Moza bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi Mosque will be closed.
Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri also confirmed the readiness of the Endowments to provide carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, water and other requirements to prepare the prayer grounds to receive worshippers through field inspections conducted by a team formed from the Religious Facilities Operation and Maintenance Section to ensure worshippers’ comfort.
He expressed appreciation to the entities that cooperated with the Sunni Endowments Council in preparing the Eid prayer grounds, namely the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Municipalities Affairs & Agriculture, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Ministry of Works, Government Hospitals, Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), General Sports Authority (GSA), King Hamad University Hospital, and Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), in addition to societies and expatriate community awareness centres.
