Bahrain has congratulated Saudi Arabia on the big success of this year’s Haj season.
In a cable, His Majesty King Hamad congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the distinguished organisation of this year’s pilgrimage.
The King commended the extensive efforts and continuous follow-up undertaken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi government to organise the Haj season, serve pilgrims and ensure the success of the rituals in a safe and orderly environment.
He commended the continuous expansion projects at the Holy Mosque as well as the introduction of new services and advanced smart technologies across all facilities and holy sites, which meet pilgrims’ needs and facilitate the performance of their rituals.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a cable of congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He sent a similar cable to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam sent a cable to Saudi Shura Council Speaker Dr Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Shaikh, commending extensive efforts in serving pilgrims and providing facilities that enabled them to perform the rituals with ease and reassurance.
The Shura Council said the success of the pilgrimage reflected the accumulated experience and high organisational capabilities of the Saudi authorities.
Bahrain pilgrims will, meanwhile, start returning to the kingdom tomorrow as the first flights carrying those leaving early are scheduled to bring them back after completing their rituals.
Yesterday, the pilgrims completed the stoning ritual of the three pillars in Mina amid a smooth flow of crowds, thanks to an integrated service and security system as well as strict organisational measures that facilitated the pilgrims’ movement between the holy sites.
Bahrain Haj Mission head Shaikh Adnan Al Qattan praised the organisational improvements this year.
He affirmed that Bahraini pilgrims are fine and enjoying good health.
