The International Sports and Security Exhibition (ISSE) will open today at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB).
The event, being held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is in its second edition, and it will run until Wednesday.
The ISSE is organised by the GSA and the Bahrain Shooting Federation, and supervised by the Diplomatic Protocol Communications company.
It is a leading international platform that brings together industry leaders, decision-makers, and security experts to explore the link between advanced technologies and international security.
This year’s exhibition will feature a range of international exhibitors showcasing the latest AI-powered defence and security technologies.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore insights into the future of operational safety and efficiency through specialised displays, including advanced autonomous systems, robotics, drone technologies, and counter-drone systems, designed to enhance facility security and manage airspace efficiently.
The exhibition will also link modern security standards with contemporary sports activities, featuring live demonstrations of drone soccer, a fast-growing international sport that highlights precision, speed, and the capabilities of unmanned aerial technologies in a competitive setting.
