BOXING – Bahrain's youth and junior boxing national teams are set to compete in the Olympic Hopes International Boxing Tournament, which is scheduled to begin today in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The kingdom’s squad is to be represented in the competition by Saif Sameh Mohammed Ahmed, Hassan Mehran Jassim Ali, Ebrahim Abdulla Amin, James Terence Ingham, Yousef Ismail Moussa, Mohammed Samir Momen, Ali Hassan Aman, Mohammed Hani Attia, and Jayden Price.
The Bahrainis have been gearing up for the event with a training camp in Sarajevo, supervised by high performance coach and national teams head tactician John Conlan and assistant coach Mohammed Naseem.
Women’s national team fighter Maryam Khamis also took part in the preparation period as part of her development programme.
