BOXING – BAHRAIN national team boxer Ali Bukhalaf bagged a gold medal in the men’s 63.5kg weight category at the fifth Sarawak International Open Boxing Championship, held in Malaysia.
Bahrain Boxing Federation president Rashid Feleyfel congratulated Bukhalaf on his success.
Bukhalaf competed in the event as part of his preparations for the Asian Boxing U23 Championships, to be held in Indonesia from July 3 to 16.
Feleyfel wished Bukhalaf every success in the competition and praised the efforts of JD Boxing and national coach Jassim Darwish in helping Bukhalaf train.
