SHURA Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh yesterday met Counsellor Egyptian Senate Speaker Essam El Din Farid, on the sidelines of the Eighth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments in Cairo.
He affirmed that the long-standing relations between Bahrain and Egypt continue to advance and prosper across all sectors, reflecting a firmly established model of strategic partnership and constructive co-operation.
He attributed this continued progress to the vision and unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, as well as the close follow-up and continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
These efforts continue to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, advance their shared interests, and contribute to the prosperity and development of their peoples.
The meeting was attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Arab League Permanent Representative Fouzia Zainal as well as Shura Council members Dr Adel Al Maawda and Dr Ebtesam Al Dallal.
The Shura chairman commended the growing parliamentary relations between Bahrain’s Shura Council and the Egyptian Senate, highlighting the ongoing co-ordination between the two legislative bodies.
He noted that the exchange of parliamentary visits and expertise contributes to enhancing legislative performance and further strengthening bilateral parliamentary co-operation in support of the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.
