Bahrain has ranked fourth among Arab countries in terms of the size of its merchant marine fleet, with 184 commercial vessels, according to the Global Firepower 2026 ranking of Merchant Marine Fleet Strength.
The ranking highlights Bahrain’s position within the maritime transport and regional trade sectors. The report showed that the UAE topped the Arab list with 655 commercial vessels, followed by Egypt with 441 ships and Saudi Arabia with 433.
Bahrain came fourth ahead of Kuwait (176 ships), Qatar (123), Algeria (119), Libya (96), Morocco (94), and Iraq (74).
