ENDURANCE HORSERACING – BAHRAIN Royal Endurance Team rider Raed Mahmood claimed first place in the 120-kilometre international ride to headline a series of outstanding results for the squad at the Samorin International Endurance Race, held in Slovakia.
Mahmood triumphed in his event amongst other senior category competitors ahead of fellow-Bahraini Khalid Yousif to spearhead an impressive Royal Endurance Team one-two.
In the meeting’s 100km international ride, Shahad Waleed delivered an outstanding performance to claim first place, while in the 160km international ride, Jaafar Mirza finished second and Yousif Al Jubouri secured third.
Jaber Badr also finished second in the 120km international ride for juniors and young riders, adding to the Royal Endurance Team’s podium finishes across multiple race distances in Samorin and reflecting their high technical standard and continued success in international competitions.
Royal Stables and Royal Endurance Team director general Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan said the results provide strong motivation as the team prepare for their upcoming competitions.
Dr Hassan expressed confidence in the riders’ ability to continue achieving success and represent the kingdom with distinction at international events.
He also commended the riders for their strong technical performances and high level of commitment throughout the ride, noting that teamwork will remain the foundation for achieving further success in the future.
