Two masked men who allegedly pulled off a daring daytime heist at a jewellery store in Kuwait were arrested by authorities.
Kuwait’s General Department of Criminal Investigation identified and arrested the two Syrian expatriates and recovered the stolen gold.
According to reports, the suspects entered the store and used what has now been revealed to be a plastic toy gun to threaten the employee, before stealing a large quantity of gold and fleeing in a stolen getaway car.
Detectives apprehended the suspects in two different areas after analysing surveillance footage and forensic evidence.
The suspects reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation and led investigators to a location where they had hidden the gold and the toy weapon.
The suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for legal proceedings.
