They reviewed the latest regional and international developments, the ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, and a number of topics of common interest.
The King congratulated Prince Mohammed on the establishment of the Multinational Maritime Defence Alliance under the leadership of Saudi Arabia, wishing the alliance success in protecting freedom of navigation, safeguarding international trade routes and securing global energy supply lines.
His Majesty and the Saudi Crown Prince also discussed the long-standing relations between the two countries and means to further advance co-operation across various domains in support of their shared interests.
Representatives from 43 countries and the European Union attended the international meeting that discussed plans for a multinational maritime defence coalition aimed at protecting international shipping and energy supply routes in the Red Sea region.
