NATIONAL entities and institutions have affirmed that the address delivered by His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, during his attendance at the Bahrain Shield joint military exercise outlined a comprehensive strategic vision for strengthening both national and Gulf security.
They said it reaffirmed the principle that the security of the GCC states is indivisible and that Gulf unity and defence integration are fundamental pillars for safeguarding the region’s developmental and civilisational achievements.
They also praised the broad Gulf participation in the exercise, noting the involvement of the UAE through the King Hamad Brigade and the Mohammed bin Zayed Brigade, alongside forces from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and the Peninsula Shield Force. They said this strong participation reflected the depth of fraternal ties among the GCC states and underscored their shared destiny.
They stressed that His Majesty’s attendance at the exercise sent a clear message to the world that Gulf security is indivisible, its destiny is shared and the blood of its people is one on every front. They added that the King’s address reaffirmed that collective deterrence and joint Gulf action remain the true guarantees of preserving the region’s security and stability.
Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani praised His Majesty’s address saying it reflected Bahrain’s steadfast commitment to Gulf unity, joint defence cooperation and strategic partnerships to enhance regional security and stability.
Dr Al Zayani reaffirmed Bahrain’s pride in the strong bonds uniting the GCC states and their peoples, describing the Council as a model of joint Arab cooperation founded on shared destiny.
He said the King’s address strongly condemned Iran’s continued attacks against GCC states as violations of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness, while reaffirming the values of Islamic brotherhood and expressing hope for improved relations through respect for sovereignty and non-interference.
He also praised the professionalism of the Bahrain Shield exercise, describing it as another step towards deeper GCC defence integration. He welcomed His Majesty’s support for the Saudi-led multinational maritime defence coalition, with Bahrain as a founding member, to strengthen maritime security, protect freedom of navigation and safeguard international trade and energy supplies.
Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam said that the speech delivered by His Majesty reflected a wise approach to addressing current challenges and reaffirmed Bahrain’s steadfast national and Gulf principles.
He said that His Majesty’s attendance at the joint exercise conveyed a clear message to the world that Gulf security is indivisible, the region shares a common destiny, and its peoples stand united on every front.
He noted that His Majesty’s speech came at a critical time to affirm that joint deterrence and collective Gulf action are key to maintaining security and stability. He added that the speech also reassured the people of Bahrain that their nation is protected by a strong Gulf security framework, supported by strategic coordination with regional and international partners and allies.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh said that the speech reflected His Majesty’s strategic vision and steadfast commitment to strengthening the Gulf’s collective security framework and enhancing defence and military integration among the GCC member states in a manner that safeguards the region’s security, preserves its development achievements, and reinforces Gulf unity in addressing regional challenges.
Mr Al Saleh noted that His Majesty’s strategic vision has established Bahrain as a model of moderation and balance, while reinforcing its position as a nation that promotes peace, dialogue, coexistence and rapprochement, and remains committed to the principles of good neighbourliness, respect for the sovereignty of states, and regional and international co-operation in support of security, stability and prosperity.
Among others who commended His Majesty’s speech were Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Nawaf Al Maawda, Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Noaimi and the King’s Special Representative Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
