Kuwaiti authorities arrested a Bangladeshi expat who was reported missing and had allegedly violated residency laws for 16 years.
During a routine patrol, detectives stopped the man after noticing that he was carrying a bag that they suspected contained alcohol.
When asked to stop, he allegedly attempted to make a run for it but was quickly apprehended.
Upon questioning, he gave vague answers on why he ran away and claimed that his ID was at his residence.
Officers performed a fingerprint check, and it revealed that the man was listed as missing and was violating residency for 16 years.
He was promptly referred to the Administrative Deportation Department to take legal measures.
