Three Pakistani nationals were killed in an attack on a cargo ship in the Red Sea, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Wednesday.
Six people were killed when Iran-backed Houthis attacked the small cargo vessel in the Bab El Mandeb Strait on Tuesday, according to Yemen’s Transport Ministry.
The fatalities aboard the Egyptian-owned Tihamah mark the first reported deaths in a Houthi strike on commercial shipping since the conflict began on February 28. The Houthis have not claimed responsibility for the attack.
