A passenger travelling from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi was stopped after security personnel detected a skull concealed inside his hand baggage during screening.
Upon being questioned, the passenger claimed that the object was a monkey’s skull.
The nature of the item prompted security personnel to alert the authorities, given its suspected connection to wildlife.
The passenger was subsequently handed over to the local police for further legal action under the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
