Families left in the lurch by sudden school closure

Families are still struggling to deal with the aftermath of this, and there needs to be real accountability.
Parents were consistently misled by the past and current directors and the new management about the future of the school. We were repeatedly reassured, only to be told a few days before the new academic year was due to start that the school was closing, despite the fact that this decision had been known about for weeks.
This was not simply a business that failed. Hundreds of children, families and staff were affected by the way this closure was handled. Parents were left scrambling to find schools at the last minute, children were suddenly separated from their friends and teachers, staff lost their jobs and families are still waiting for money they are owed.
The authorities should investigate not only the company, but also the conduct and responsibility of all investors, directors and those involved in the decision-making. Those individuals who knowingly misled families or acted improperly should be held personally accountable and their fitness to serve as directors, investors or operators of future educational and other projects in Bahrain should be prohibited.
Financial difficulties may explain why a school closes. They do not excuse the way people were treated.

@rayes88 These Bahraini investors were loud at the time. They made promises, were ambitious, moved things and people around, and they pretend like they had nothing to do with it. Where’s that agreement to have the first net zero school? That should have been an early sign.

@missislanderbh 100 per cent, and seemed to have gotten off scot-free – I hope the Education Ministry takes action against them and their assets personally.
