SAMA, the school's operator, arrived in Bahrain making promises to families, asking us to put our children’s education and our trust in their hands. Many parents made decisions, paid fees, prepared their children, arranged their lives and planned around the academic year based on the commitments they made.

And now, SAMA has left families stranded just weeks before the new school year. These are not numbers on a spreadsheet. These are children whose education, routines, friendships and emotional well-being are being disrupted. These are parents who now have an impossible task ahead of them – finding alternative schools, securing places, arranging transportation, uniforms, books, schedules and finances – with almost no time to do so. You speak publicly about being a ‘community’. SAMA speaks about communication, professionalism, student well-being and preparing children for their future. But when families needed those values the most, where were they? Professionalism is not posting polished achievements. Professionalism is taking responsibility when things go wrong. Communication is not simply marketing announcements. Communication is giving families adequate notice when a decision will fundamentally change their children’s lives.
And caring for children means considering the consequences of your decisions on the families who trusted you. What SAMA has done is not merely inconvenient. It is deeply irresponsible and profoundly unfair to the very families you committed to serving.
You cannot ask parents to trust you with their children and then expect that trust to survive a decision of this magnitude delivered at the last possible moment.

How can a school shut down overnight via WhatsApp in 2026? More than 250 students and all staff are left stranded because of shareholder disputes!
This is a clear violation of Bahrain’s Private Educational Institutions Law:
l Articles 9 and 10: No sudden closures – schools cannot shut down without prior Education Ministry approval and advance notice.
l Article 21: Internal disputes and distress must be reported to the ministry immediately.
l Article 30: The ministry has the legal authority to step in and take over management so children don’t miss school.
l Article 32: Fines up to BD100,000 and legal penalties for such reckless violations.
Education isn’t a quick flip business to liquidate overnight. We need urgent action and direct intervention from the ministry!

As someone directly affected, the impact on my family began months ago and has continued to affect both my career and my children’s education. Now, my children have also lost the school they were supposed to attend. I’ve had to rearrange major parts of our lives because of circumstances beyond our control. The impact of these decisions on real families cannot be ignored. Those responsible must be held accountable, and everyone affected deserves transparency, answers and fairness.

As founding educators, we have given years of dedication to our school community. We are currently pursuing legal channels to claim our rightful compensation following our unexpected termination. We trust that the relevant authorities will step in to protect the rights of teachers, students, and parents, and ensure fair procedures are taken.

As a former teacher at this school, I truly feel for the students, families and staff who are now facing this situation. Sadly, some of us had already experienced the uncertainty and consequences of what was happening months before the closure.
Teachers gave years of dedication, care and hard work to this school, and many of us were deeply affected professionally and personally. Seeing families and remaining staff now going through such uncertainty is heartbreaking.
I sincerely hope that everyone affected – students, parents, teachers and staff – receives the support, clarity and fairness they deserve.

I sustained a serious injury during a physical education class at school in May 2026. Following the incident, there was no investigation or formal incident report regarding what occurred. Furthermore, I never received any follow-up from the teacher whose class the incident occurred in, despite missing more than five weeks of school as a result of my injury.
I had to spend the entire summer undergoing physical therapy, without feeling that the school took appropriate accountability for what happened. Since I was unable to attend school for several weeks, my mother also had to hire private teachers to come to my home and assist me with keeping up with my academics.
