The Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry launched an electric vehicle charging station at its headquarters as part of a joint initiative with Zayani Investments and Al Salam Bank to support sustainable mobility and encourage the use of electric vehicles.
The initiative included installing the charging station, designating a parking space for electric vehicles and installing relevant signage.
Land Transport and Postal Affairs Undersecretary at the Ministry Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen said the initiative supports the development of sustainable transport and the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and solutions.
A number of electric vehicles were also displayed at the ministry’s headquarters to introduce employees to available technologies, models and the benefits of electric vehicles.
