Saudi camels delivered a strong performance on the second day of the eighth Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026, winning 13 out of 21 morning races at the historic Taif Camel Racing Track. Qatari entries recorded five wins, while Emirati camels claimed three, according to the organising committee.
Held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the festival runs through September 13. Organised by the Saudi Camel Sports, the event features total prize purses exceeding SAR50 million.
For the first time since the festival's inception in 2018, this edition introduces a three-day camel beauty competition in partnership with the Camel Club, expanding the tournament's scope and bolstering the commercial and cultural development of the camel sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
