Ambassador Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received Edward B. Rowe, Member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Advisor to the Presidency of the Middle East/Africa North Area of the Church, in the presence of a number of members of the Church’s delegation.
The Director General highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue and communication among followers of different religions and cultures.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to continuing to support efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, understanding, and mutual respect, in line with the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has established the values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue among religions and cultures through a number of initiatives and institutions that reflect this vision, including the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence.
Edward B. Rowe expressed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue among religions and cultures. He commended the Kingdom’s role in supporting these values and promoting understanding among different communities, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise and initiatives in this field.
