Five people were killed, and several others were injured after an Amazon cargo jet crashed near Miami International Airport yesterday, US authorities said.
Video captured the plane that crashed.
According to Miami airport authorities, all runways and taxiways are closed and a ground stop is in effect due to a disabled aircraft on the runway.
Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said five people were killed and five people were taken to the hospital.
A source told NBC6 that the two pilots were taken to Jackson South, and the three others were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Authorities did identify the deceased nor the people were taken to the hospital.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at the airport last night.
The plane, a Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft, departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“The FAA will investigate,” the statement read.
