KPMG in Bahrain has announced a major leadership transition, appointing Jalil AlAali as managing partner, effective October 1, 2026.
Mr AlAali succeeds Jamal Fakhro, who steps down after nearly four decades at the helm. Mr Fakhro will continue to serve as chairman, offering strategic oversight and driving long-term sustainable growth.
With over 31 years at KPMG in Bahrain, Mr AlAali currently serves as audit partner and head of risk management. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK, he brings deep expertise across financial services, regulatory affairs, and professional standards.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr AlAali said: “I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me and grateful to Jamal Fakhro for his exceptional leadership. My focus will be on investing in our people, embracing innovation, and delivering sustainable growth for our clients and the community.”
Mr Fakhro, who became a partner in 1982 and managing partner in 1987, has been instrumental in building the firm into one of the kingdom’s leading professional services organisations, while also serving on KPMG’s Global Council and International Board.
